Best alignment gauge for use with Forgeline wheels?

I want to buy an alignment gauge and I'm not sure which style to get. I have seen models that use a tee frame with three legs that attach to steel wheel lips. I have also seen magnetic base models that attach to the center hub. My question is what kind of alignment gauge works best with Forgeline wheels? Does the tee style clamp to a non-steel wheel? Do the magnetic center gauges come with different diameter adaptors to use with a 2.780 hub? Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't think a magnetic center gauge will work on an aluminum wheel were the hubs don't protrude past the wheel.

A decent digital angle finder should be sufficient. Just hold it against the center cap area.
