Well, it's about time for an update. I have been trialing to dial in the engine for the past couple months and just putting a bunch of miles on it. The engine revs fine to around 4000-4500rpm and then would fall flat.

I ended up replacing the carb, plug wires, added a spacer under the carb, and replaced the dizzy. None of that fixed the problem. I tried readjusting the valves, rejetting the carb (5 or 6 different combos), and regapping the spark plugs, and it still didn't help with the top end.
