67 Chevelle headers with a big block

I am working on a 67 Chevelle with a 454 and a 4 speed and am looking for a set of headers...preferably a mid length or at least something that wont hang down too far when installed. I am finding this to be somewhat of a tough application. Many items available for the 68-72, not so much for the 64-67. If you guys have any direct experience with this particular application and can recommend [or"un-recommend"] a brand...lets hear it. Thanks!

My friend tried the Hooker Super Comps and could not get them to fit on his 67. He ponied up for the Lemons pro-touring headers and they fit great. They are not cheap by the time you coat them and add bungs.

Hi Bret, if you don't want to spend a ton of money, Doug's fit pretty good. I have them (D322) on my El Camino and got them from Summit.

I can get some pics of the ground clearance if you want, just let me know.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I'll give a more detailed review...
Overall the Doug's headers fit well (following the typical header installation process). There's good clearance around all the tubes with no "dinging" needed. On the passenger side however, the #6 and #8 spark plug boots have a limited life span due to their close proximity to the tubes. I solved the problem by using the Accel Pro-Fit plug wires with ceramic boots. I also found spark plug access is much easier by removing the front wheels and going through the inner fenderwell opening. (Note: This may not be the case with stock inner fenderwells. The previous BBC had a set of Stahl headers and the #7 and #8 header tubes went on the outside of the frame which required me to increase the opening on the inner fenderwells.) The factory ceramic coating is holding up ok (not great) but if you're going to be adding O2 bungs or other mods, the non-coated header will be the obvious choice.

      Hopefully this is helpful.

Thanks guys! I ended up ordering some Sanderson mid length units after talking with anothervfriend with a BBC 67. He liked the fit much better than the Hookers. I should have them shortly after Christmas. I'll post up how the install goes.
