Weld or clamp mufflers to pipes?

Been working on my exhaust system...considering whether I should weld or clamp the mufflers in.

The tail pipes will be clamped to the rear of the mufflers to make it easier it put on and get apart....but should I weld the front pipes to the mufflers, or leave them removable? FYI, the pipes are aluminized steel and the mufflers stainless.

      What have you guys done?

While welding is generally considered the best way, these modern band clamps seem to work pretty good. Have them on my coated headers toexhaust. Coat bolts with anti seize, I have had to r & r mine several times, still tight. I spread a little permatex ultra copper before installing bandclamps for good measure. If you weld, spray a little cold galvanizing spray on area.

I usually weld most of the system, but have a couple spots clamped so it can be removed when needed. The band clamps do work great.

Thanks for the input guys. I ordered band clamps for each end of the mufflers.
