      My Chevelle

Well, here is a pic of my Chevelle project. It is a 72 and needs a bit of work. the front end sheetmetal is kind of just tossed together right now, so don't mind the way-off feature lines (or the missing one from bad previous body work that I have to fix). The springs should also settle some more. The car has been sitting on jack stands ever since I put them on, so they have not settled yet.

      Here are the specs:
      1972 Chevelle
      350/TH350
      12 bolt with 3.73's

Here is what I have done thus far:
Sanded/painted the chassis (most of it..LOL)
      Poly Bushings on front suspension
      Poly body mounts
      Koni Adjustable shocks
Hotchkis Lowering springs with the front cut a full coil
17" cragar wheels (temporary until I am finished with my HRE's that I am restoring)
Kuhmo Tires (245 front, 275 rear)
      4 wheel disc brakes (12" from a 98+ f body)
Powerslot rotors and hawk pads in front
      Earle's stainless braided brake hoses

Dad came and did most of the exterior sheetmetal work for me. We had to weld patches in both quarters, both doors, both fenders and around the front and rear glass...basically the whole car...LOL... Still needs floors, decklid, and a hood to have the body decent. I also still have to sand all the existing paint off. The car was a "chamelean" or whatever paint, so it is very thick! You can see how thick it is in areas that the welding was done on the front fenders.

      My plans are:
swap for an updated interior with race seats like corbeaus or something and custom door panels and maybe a custom dash.
      tubular front control arms
custom adjustable rear LCA's (Stock uppers for now)
maybe a GMPP Crate motor and a 700-r4 (unless a LSx/T56 comes along when I get some money)

Car should drive very well for a chevelle when I am done, but it will be a while before I am anywhere near that point since money is extremely tight now.

Anyway, just wanted top show you all what I was doing.

'72 Chevelle- 4 wheel 12" Discs, Konis, Hotchkis springs (shortened an extra coil up front), 17" Cragar Soft 8's with 245's in front and 275's in back. ---STILL IN PROGRESS---
