I was in chicago doing the Miracle Mile parade, my first time in the city, and it rocks !!!!!!! clean, peaple were very friendly got to go back.

Yes, as long as you stay in the known touristy areas, it does. It's absolutely beautiful walking up and down Michigan, State, and the Lakefront. Love it!
