      Tapatalk for mobile devices?

I guess theresre quite many people usong their iphones and orter mobile platforms to access pro-touring.com. Atleast i'm one of them...

There's a really great app called tapatalk which is available for iOS, android, blackberry (not sure) etc that creates a much better layout for a mobile platform (which doesn't have a 22" screen...). Some of the swedish forums that I visit has it and it's really nice.

It's easy to install in phpBB 3.x too. I don't know with vbulletin though, which I guess pro-touring.com is using.

But it might be something for the admins to take a look at? It would make it alot easier to access the forum from your phone/iPad etc...

      Just a thought...

I am planning to update the site to the newest version and set up free iphone and android apps.

I have started dealing with becoming a developer and will pay for all the various items it requires soon. I also need to coordinate with a couple of people that help with the code and with any luck it should be done in a few weeks.

Larry; sounds great! Give the tapatalk-app a chance though. It's really good, specially if you are posting on another couple of forums too.

Anyways, i'm curious to see what happens

Setting up this forum for tapatalk can be done in a couple of minutes. All you have to do is register and list your forum on their site, ownoad a tidbit of code, upload it to the server and add a line of code to one of the header templates. Very very easy.

I use tapatalk a lot and would love to see this site added to the list. Much easier to use than a mobile skin.

Exactly! And you could still have an app for the pro-touring.com site and forum if you want that. The more ways you could access a site in, the better it is for the visitors.

I would definitely love the tapatalk solution!

Probably the only problem with tapatalk is that the members have to buy the app. But tapatalk is so ready to use that $3 is well worth it. I bought it and I only visit a few forums. It's really a well made app; simple and ready to use.

I hope to have the apps up and running soon. I need to do a little tweak and get my hands on a Mac to complete the iphone app.

That would be awesome Larry. I find TapaTalk and/or Autoguide very easy to navigate and they run faster than if on Safari.

Ran a search on Tapatalk with no success. Here's my vote for a pro-touring.com app. Thanks!

Adding another app isn't a problem but tapatalk works great, it's free to the admin, and can be setup in minutes.

I'd like the Tapatalk support, but I'd give the app a try... if it were free, which I doubt.

I have started and paid for an iphone and android app that will work slick. I just need to get my hands on a mac to complete it. Why Apple forces you to use a MAC to set it up is beyond me.

      Probably because they can.

So there's no plans for a tapatalk-add-in for the forum?
