Filling holes in ABS plastic

I have a Covan ABS dash panel I plan to use in my build. I have the panel cut for 5" gauges and they fit fine. I also drilled a few holes for small LEDs. I have changed my mind on where I want the LEDS and would like to fill in the holes. Whats the best way to fill in small hole like these in ABS?

My original thought was to epoxy a small backing plate on the rear side then use regular body filles and sand it flush. But I was curious what others thought might be the best way to do this.

Do you have any model kits? Or shavings from the dash? Use some liquid model glue and "melt" some of the shavings or pieces of plastic sprue into the holes. Bondo will work for a while but it will "show up" after it shrinks. Using the plastic and liquid glue will melt or "weld" the filler into the panel and it will never show up. Sand it smooth, prime and paint.

That's a good idea. I have some plastic rods from an old plastic welder I used to have. I can make shavings from them to use as filler. Thanks for the tip ...

3m makes a 2 part for soft and rigid plastics for use in body shops. check with your local auto refinish supplier.
