Need decent plug wires!

I've searched for info on the MSD and Taylor wires, but they are both hated and loved. Have a set of Pacesetter (crap) long tubes on an LS3 that like to burn the original wires. 2 wires touch the pipes no matter what. Which of the aftermarket brands have lasted in header applications? Probably something with 135deg boots I would imagine.

you're going to drop some coin, but you need the Accel (part#9001c) ceramic booted wires, both my wires on my 3 cylinder on my drivers side and 3rd cylinder on the passenger sit right on the header tube (my header tubes are over-sized) for 3 years now they have touched and still haven't burned a wire

I too had the same problem but wanted to use the stock wires supplied with the engine. If a 135* boot will work then go here:

...and order up the 135* NGK screw-on boots. Remove the boot from the stock wire and attach the NGK's. It's a 20-minute job, works great, and less than $40. They also have a ton of other options for boots but with the stock wires the length is the limiting factor.

If in doubt order one boot, check for fitment, then order what you need. They can also make special sets as well.

Thx for the suggestions, the ceramic would probably work, but yes, its spendy. I ended up getting 2 45deg boots and terminals from the local NAPA, and that did the trick. $4 to fix each cylinder, using the original plug wires with the new ends. Not as cool as the pro stuff, but it works.
