I seriously hope the AutoX isn't a complete joke like the last 2 Super Chevy's I've been to have been. But I'll be there nonetheless.

The SCCA will be running it this time so it should be much more organized than last year. They are bringing actual timing equipment, scoreboards and an announcer.

For those that can stick around for Sunday afternoon you will be rewarded with lots of seat time.

Will they have loaner helmets like they did last year, or was that just for the Duel in the Desert group last year?

If it wasn't the weekend before SEMA, I'd have been there. Have fun ...

Great day of racing today. The course was really short but you could have made a ton of runs. Sal had the fastest time of the day up until about 30 minutes before the end. Crazy Casey in his white 4th gen Camaro edged him by a couple tenths. The Camaro5 guys made a strong showing with 10+ cars. The Hotchkis equipped orange 2nd Gen and Tom in the only other 1st gen besides us were both hauling the mail also.

One of the competitors with a 3rd gen T/A had an issue with a brake caliper. Luckily Wilwood had that exact caliper on a display so they did a swap. It turned out that the pads were damaged so he ended up using some spares we had for our Camaro. They got it all buttoned up so hopefully they'll be out there again tomorrow.

It's great to see such comraderie between competitors at these events. We've got a bunch of media from today to sort through next week.

Not exactly the same, but close enough to drive the 50 miles home.
Tom and I give our sincere thanks to the TCI and Wilwood guys for all the help.
The T/A will be staying home tomorrow, but we'll be out tomorrow with something else from the stable.

As the pit crew of said 3rd gen, I can't express enough thanks to both Wilwood and TCI for stepping up and helping get the car fixed. While that car won't be out on Sunday, another one will be.

Had a blast out there. My new Hotchkis control arms and C5 brakes improved my car alot from last year, but I still need more practice. My son had an awesome time with his 86 Iroc and had an awesome ride with Sal in the TCI car. Thanks alot

I would like to give a big Thank You to the crew at TCI, Wilwood and Currie for sponsoring the autocross! I had a great time yesterday running my '02 around the cones; and today flogging the '90 IROC! TCI and Wilwood are stand up guys for jumping right in and helping a fellow participant when they broke down. Thanks again for a great time this weekend.

Thanks for keeping Sal on his toes Casey. I was having a blast watching you two battle it out yesterday!

I've got a few pics and vids I need to upload this evening from my personal camera that I'll upload this week sometime.

Ben has a ton of media from pretty much every car that ran. It takes him a little longer to sort through his though.

I enjoyed watching the battle as well. Never in my wildest dreams did I think a bone stock TPI 305 powered IROC would be the second fastest car on Sunday. Not even with Casey behind the wheel.

I am thoroughly impressed with Casey's abilities.

I don't know if anyone else noticed but every generation of Camaro was represented this weekend.

Here are the few I took.

Smoke from the jet cars while I was on top of the timing trailer.

      Here are a couple vids.

If your computer speakers have a sub make sure to turn it up. The jet cars were staging during the next two vids.
