      Type of Disc Hub

      Hi,

My car is a 1968 Camaro with power brakes front disc rear drums I am looking for a C5 all wheel brake set up. I read all Pete's note on the subject.
I know I would need front drum hubs as most kits and C5 rotors can be easily installed on slightly machined drum hubs.
However in Europe I can build a kit starting from disc hubs, IF I have a separate hub from disc.
Please looking at my disc can you tell me what kind it is and what hub I have?
It looks like it is a complete one 'disc on hub' assembled piece.

Then about the proportioning brake control I have this on my car (next pic) should I remove it completely I guess and change it with a new proportioning valve?

It is the complete disc/hub setup. Check this link, it should show you what you need to do.

X2 on your current setup - intergral hub & rotor.

That prop valve is not original to your 68 Camaro. Without knowing what it is, I would remove it and install an adjustable prop valve on the rear brake line when you do your 4 wheel disc upgrade.

Hardelines should not need changing, it would be the caliper lines to the hardlines that would different if I am correct? Send Torbin at Kore 3 a note. He is username is Apogee on this site. He will definitely get you everything you need.

??? your not going to replace 40+ year old hardlines?? there cheap enough between 60 (front lines) and 150 bucks(complete front and rear) just change them for the safety factors

Marc my response was based on whether you needed to change them for the swap to work, not the condition of the hardlines. Sorry if I misled you.

No it is ok :-) I also understand it's best to change for security. However if I install C5 MC and booster , maybe the type of connections are different than original on the new MC?..
