Best price on a Snap-on torque wrench

Been putting my front suspension together and thought this was a good time to invest in a good torque wrench. I'm interested in getting the Snap-on TECH2FR100 electronic 3/8 drive torque wrench. I was wondering if there's a way to get a better price than the $368 listed on their website? I saw a new one go for $270 on eBay last night, but I'm always leery of buying stuff like this from eBay.

I would say you should try and find a local dealer and talk with him to see what he could do, cash talks
I had that one and it was great but I traded it in for the 1/2 techangle one and just love it.
I would rec getting a techangle one just because if you want to work on your daily driver or something you will have a torque wrench that can do torque to yield bolts.
If you are not going to be doing any torue to yield then the one you listed is fine or you could just get a regular click type also and save the couple bucks.

Ebay is a great place to get stuff cheap but some stuff I won't buy on there for the incase of factor, its a lot easier for warranty or repair when you buy it straight from them.

Thanks David. I talked to the local guy and he would only go $18 below MSRP. I ended up buying one off eBay for about a $100 under MSRP, delivered.

syclone is right, you can almost always deal with guys on the truck. most are reasonable. also, most snapon guys have no problems with warrany on tools that weren't bought from them. i've warrantied plenty of tools that i had picked up from pawn shops or been given (my dad set me up with some of his old stuff when i first started out). snap on pays them for warranty items. I had him put a kit in a long handle 1/2" ratchet the other day that is older then i am, and it was the first time i've ever broke it, lol

I ordered a "brand new" one from a guy on Ebay a few weeks ago. The guy had 280 buys/sells with a 100% rating. I paid for the wrench within 20 mins of buying it. The SOB never contacted me. After a bout 2 weeks I canceled the transaction through my credit card. Go figure!

The electronics are nice, but pricey; rumor has it precision instruments produces snap-ons torque wrenches.
I personally perfer the split beam style.

precision used to produce them they dont now, also the reps are not piad to do warranty it comes out of their pocket until submited to get the money back.on average you could probably talk most reps into about 10% off
