Compressor Motor Trade In Help

I have a Speedaire compressor and it is has a 3Hp 3-phase motor. I would like to swap it out for a single phase. I have no clue about how to wire a 3-phase.
The pump is a 4B247 and it is on a horizontal 30 gallon tank. It was an Ebay impulse buy, like new $50 bucks. Any way does anyone know where I can buy a motor or trade in the motor for a new one? I can get a new one at WW but I would prefer to see if I can trade the one I have and go the little cheaper route since this in a week end warrior home garage.
