      yet another exhaust opinion needed!!

I've listened to so many sound clips online trying to pick a muffler I'm sick of it. You can't hear jack on any of them except wind noise. Anyway, it seems most people like either the Magnaflow or the Borla ProXS. The car currently has Flowmasters, which are honestly way too loud. I wake up my daughter in the morning when I start the car. Are either of these going to be hugely different? Like night and day? If my wife will say, "those are still too loud too" I may not even bother changing.

On a similar note, what do you guys think of adding a high flow cat? I get a fairly good whiff of fumes in the cabin, and at a stoplight with the windows down, it can be annoyingly strong. Would a cat clean this up? I don't want to choke performance, but a high flow straight thru design should be fine. Opinions?

Nevermind, I think I've answered my own questions. I'm going to put in cats and Borla ProXS mufflers. I'll probably also put in some kind of heat shield above the cats just for piece of mind. We'll see how that does.

Old thread, but I did some research and decided that cats are a really bad idea unless you have a computer and O2 sensors constantly adjusting your fuel/air.

Anyway, I took off the Flowmaster Delta Flows and put on Magnaflows. Waaaay better. At least for me, some guys still love Flowmasters.
