Help in renovating a 1972 Buick Skylark - 4 Door Interior

I would like to redo the seats on my 1972 Buick Skylark.
Im not looking for anything fancy, but I would like to know if microfiber is expensive and what can do to keep this cost down.
I have bench seats. Whats the average cost of redoing seats?

The quote that Ive gotten so far is 850.00.

Ive heard vinyl is a good alternative
Are there any post or videos on doing interiors on your own.

This is my project car and I would like to do as much of the work on my own.

With as many bucket seat options available, get rid of the bench seat for a lot less cost than reupholstering!
