C2 suspension guru?

Ok, so the A-body suspension guru has to be Marcus at SC&C.



Who's the C2 Corvette guru? Who makes suspension goodies for these cars? Might have another toy to play with...

Hi Colin-
I have a 63 roadster. I chose to go with an aftermarket frame that is modified to fit late model corvette suspension. I have a Newman Car Creations frame, C4 suspension, D44 rear, TKO-600 and a Mast Motorsports 630hp LS3. SRIII makes a great frame and can be set up for either C4 or C5 suspension. I am nearing the end of that project and would be happy to answer any questions.

Vette Brakes & Products, Vansteel and Speed Direct seem to be the top brands for suspension kits. SC&C makes a set of control arms too and Global west makes a few parts as well. Your suspension is the same in the front all the way up to 1982. And up to 1979 for the rear.

Also... Guldstrand makes a nice 5-link rear suspension to help fix the problems with the stock geometry

What is the best C2 year to get? Looking for a smallblock 4spd.

In general, the 63 had more 1 year only parts than the others. 64s seem to be less expensive than the other years and the 67s more expensive than the others. The base small blocks gained power throughout the years, so a 66 or 67 small block had more power (350hp) than the 63 base engine (300hp). I know my 63 came with an M20, the later years had M21 and the M22 as options.
