      1.25" calipers with 1.0" rotors??

I have a lead on some Wilwood GMIII calipers. They are the 1.25" rotor model. Problem is my stock stuff is for 1.00" rotors. So here's the stupid question. Can you get a little thicker pads to make up the difference in rotor thickness?? Or can you use these as is with the 1.0" rotors???

Worse case they are two piece and either milling the halves or ordering just the correct half form Wilwood for the 1".

you can use a spacer that is cut to match the back of the pad to make up the difference. They slide behind the pad thus placing the pad in the proper location for the rotor. This was often done a few years back on many trucks because wilwood did not have the super lite available to match the common rotors for a certain hub manufacture. That problem is long gone, but it was a method that worked for years.

the only thing to watch for is the corrosion factor of the spacer to the pistons in the caliper. Make sure you use the proper materials that complement each other.

I decided to stick with my stocker until I get the car finished then maybe get new correct front calipers.
