      GM 12-bolt U joint question

I am putting an LS3 in my Chevelle with a cam should put out about 460 to the wheels. I pulled the drive shaft last week and noticed the strap type fasteners that hook the rear U-joint to the pinion yoke. Are these straps strong enough or is there some replacement for these that will work better. Reliability is very important.

I drag raced my 12bolt for years and the only thing I did was to install a Moroso u-joint cap kit which replaces the rear straps and bolts.

If you are getting a new driveshaft, consider upsizing the yoke & running 1350 series U joints.
67 Camaro RS that will be faster than anything Mary owns.
