      Will this work?

I'm using hooker 3" setback plates and found they were too far back for my liking so I swapped the engine stands around and gained about 1.5"s. The retrolsx pan (same as Holley) sits on a small inside corner of the engine crossmember now so I thought about making some small plates out of 1/8th or 1/4" inch steel to put under the mounts. I know I need a 3 degree angle at the back of the trans so I make have to make a small plate for their as well. Will this work or will is there something wrong with it other than being hack?

I think it will work Scott.... Just hope you have enough trans tunnel clearance and dont run into a issue there. You will want to check your pinion angle again. Might have to just get another set of motor mount adapters?? Might be the best solution all around.

      Hey Travis!
I've already swapped the stands back around. I think you are right about the mounts. I'm thinking the same as you. I'm going to put the crossmember I have where it is supposed to go then measure the distance I need. Then I'm calling Holley or Dirty Dingo. Then I'll get the engine off the firewall as well.
      thanks

Sounds like a good plan Scott... On another note, I just re-read my post. I shouldnt have said "pinion angle"... thats all related to how you shim the rear (assuming your still leaf sprung), sorry about that! Drive line angle would have been what I meant... but Im sure you knew that
