Here we go. Look at post #7 by American Powertrain. According to him the 2600708 is the desierable 26 spline input Ford unit. The GM unit is "TCET 2057" http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...ist-worth.html

Good memory/search-fu Cliff, yes I have one of these. It is a 26 spline.

It has the Ford geometry of a new TKO500/600 and nearly identical ratios as a TKO500. It is most easily recognized as the older model by the different shifter bolt pattern. I have read that the internals are different such that it is not prone to the "high-rpm misshift" issues of the TKO500/600, but that's heresay because I don't know for sure. The tranny works great for me!

I bought mine for a GM application and there are several things you have to do to make it work....but it's doable.

Sik68, What do you have to do to get it to work with an LS motor?
