      Emblems and Trim or none??

Guys, I am starting body work and would like your opinions. It is a 67 RS Camaro. It is sitting on my lift right now just back from the media blaster, so it is a blank canvas. I can't decide on wheter to leave emblems and trim or not. HELP!!

tasteful deletes. I actually like a lot of the 60s trim, but some of it , I just dont care for and I think it actually detracts from the car's lines.

Maybe do some photoshopping to get a visual?

The only trim i am running is the chrome around the windows and the RS badges on the tailpan and grill.

I like the stainless around the windows but I dont care for the moldings down the center of the doors or the rocker mouldings that came on some cars. I usually take emblems off the fenders and trunklid of my cars.
I am not useless, I can still be used as a bad example!

I run just the RS emblem on the grill and RS gas cap. Even missing the emblems on the door panels. I did leave on the rocker panel trim.

I would say shave your side markers but you don't have to worry about that.
I would take off all side emblems, trunk lid emblem, header panel emblem and weld up the holes.

You can always add them back via carefully and artfully cut double sided tape if you decide you must have them back on.

Figured I'd post a pic of mine so you guys can compare with the stock overboard trim and emblems.

Mine's got way more trim and emblem doo-dads than I like, but they were on the car when I bought it and I haven't even removed the mud flaps I said I'd toss 10 years ago haha. The only part of the RS option I like is the Hidden Headlights, I could do without the rest including the blinkers and reverse lights that clutter up the splash pans. Yes, it's a real RS SS vert so I'll probably leave everything and put the original bumperettes and hood ornaments back on since they came with the car. I don't think I can bring myself to PT it so it's pretty stock with engine/trans upgrades.

I'm a bit anti trim too. Only like a lot of emblems on a resto car.

A lot of it depends on where you're headed with the build, stock resto or smoothed PT or...?

When my car is back together there will be no emblems besides the single firebird emblem on the gas lid and all the trim around my windows will be blacked out, I'm rather anti chrome though

Everyone has their own personal taste, I prefer the trim in place. Ultimately is it your decision which way you choose to proceed on your project.

Shaved all emblems and chrome off mine. Only things left are the door handles and rear bumper.

Deleted trim will give it a more modern look.

Delete the trim and emblems. It is alot easier to add them later as opposed to trying to remove them after all the paint is finished.
