      got a free 4L60E trans....

I just aquired a free 4L60E trans out of a 2001 Chevy Express Van. The trans is toast so it will need a rebuild.

I have a built up 200r4 trans in my car now. Is the 4L60E be a stronger trans than the 200r4? It needs to be rebuilt so I dont know if it is cost effective or not.

      hmm....wonder what a blown 4L60E is worth??

Rebuilding the trans is only part of the cost. A 4L60E will require some computer mangement also. Look into the cost for the electronics and then add that to the rebuild...
