      Dynacorn vs DSE tubs

I have been looking at getting tubs for my 67 Firebird Convertible... but find conflicting info. I was going to get DSE tubs... but found a reseller of Dynacorn tubs (DYN-1041FD&GD) that states that these tubs do not require you to notch the frame...

Anyone with Dynacorn (DYN-1041FD & GD) tubs?... did you have to notch your frame just like DSE's? Being that I have a convertible I figured it wouldn't hurt if I could leave the frame rails alone...

I believe I read a post on Team Camaro where they actually did have to notch the frame rails!

Do they quote being able to run as wide of a tire / wheel combo?

The fact is the frame gets in the way if you run the max combo regardless of who makes the tub.

Put a set of the Dynacorn in last week. They are not as good as the DSE. Pay the price and get the DSE ones. They fit much better.

Notching the frame rails land you a whopping 3/4" - 1" wider opening.
Not notching and an 11" rim with 315-325 series tire is possible

If these are for a 67 or 68 the extra width that the DSE tubs offer makes a difference in the width of wheel and tire you can run.
