      They are DuPont Hot Hues,
Top is Sinful Cinnamon and the bottom is Sandstorm. I am thinking about switching things up here soon. The car has been this way for 6 years and I think it may be time to make some changes.
This car was my first time painting and there are a lot of things that I did not know and wish I would have done differently. So It may be time to get out the liquid torch and make a big change.

Thanks for the info. What are your plans for round 2? Also what would you have done differently.

Monza...I would'nt worry about the aftermarket not producing big blocks if customers demand it. Granted you can make just as much power from a small block LS7 that's equal to an older 426 HEMI. That's the beauty of hot rodding. Consider this: the carbeurator is still the number 1 aftermarket product made for hot rodders and it's still getting updated constantly...and it's 2012 for crying out loud!! The last carbeurator that rolled off the assembly line was what, 1983? Build that land yacht the way you want and have fun with it.

Biscayne and Bel Air roof lines were the same. It's actually one of the reasons I bought the car in the first place.

In '61 & '62 2 door Biscaynes only came as 2 dr sedans the Bel Air could be had as a 2 dr sedan or 2 dr coupe (bubbletop).

I wasn't sure about the bubbletop on a Bel Air. Thanks for the clarification.

Personaly I love the 65-66 Impalas, so I thought it be cool some day to build a Pro-Touring tribute version of the ones used in NASCAR in 65-67

This is my "barn find" 61' Bubbletop with a 283... I have high hopes for this one day. I kinda like the rough paint for now. Motor work, wheels, and lower it a little are the first plans. Its been sitting in the barn for about 17 years so just some good ole TLC and she'll be good.

I really love seeing all the other Impalas y'all take in every direction.
