      Well, on an 18x10 we use a 5.75" BS. So on a 9.5" you could stick w/ the 5.75" BS and that will give you .5" more clearance at the fender lip. May not have to modify as much....

      Also...an important item would be the process of determining what to cut out of the fenders.

      There are so many cobinations of parts being used, it's almost impossible to fit every possible combination of control arms, spindles, springs, shocks, R&P etc.... to ensure that it will work. We know for a fact that it works perfect with ridetech CoilOvers/Shockwaves, upper & lower StrongArms, ridetech Tall Spindles, our steering arms, tie rods and center link bracket. Any variation from those parts is to be determined.

      I am truly sympathetic to the guys wanting guidance on the fender modifications. I think that a step by step instruction sheet of precisely how to accomplish the modifications to the inner/outer fender on a 67/68 Camaro to fit the 10" wide wheel would be great.
      It would also be a little unfeasible...here's why.
      I can't tell you to "remove .375" of metal from an area starting 2.5" from the very bottom of the fender extending to 11" above that point". I wish I was that level of teacher. The reality is that there are many different ways to acheive tire clearance, if needed. You may not even need to do anything if you are using oem height body mounts...the 48 Hour Camaro had half height mounts. If you are using a different brand of tire you might not have any tire clearance problems.

      On the 48 Hour Camaro our metal guy Kurt took an inordinate amount of time to make this modification look invisible. He basically trimmed the outer fender lip off the car up to the first body line...about 3/8" of an inch. That provided the neccessary tire clearance at full lock. Then he trimmed away part of the inner fender that would come in contact with the tire at full lock. The amount was determined by trial and error fitting. Then he shaped an "adapter" peice that would reconnect the inner and outer fender. At that point he could have welded this new piece to the inner fender, attached it with adhesive, rivited it, or just left it out for that matter. He chose to rivit it because we were running out of time before the build.
      The inner/outer fender modifications...if even needed...are something that you likely will want to engage soeone with at least a little experience in the area of metal/paint work. Its really not that hard, but might be beyond accomplishing with an adjustable wrench and a can of wax.

      Having said all that...I'm sure that there is someone more talented that I am out there who might be able/willing to create some sort of intructional video on this subject. I am all ears [and eyes] on that!

      There is no instruction booklet for hot rodding.

      AirRide's parts accomplish what they are intended to accomplish. It's our job as hot rodders to take care of the unexpected variables and peripheral systems and clearances that can not be foreseen my the mfr.

      Curious as to why this wouldn't work with an AFX spindle? My car should finally be drivable within the month, and I don't mind being the guinea pig to test this out with AFX spindles...as long as I can return it if it doesn't work for some odd reason, lol.

      We have a set of AFX spindles here, but the 48 Hour Camaro has not sat still long enough to try them out. We are headed down to Bowling Green this afternoon for the LS Fest. If you want to try it out, I have no problem taking it back if it will not work. We have always been understanding when it comes to returning products.

      I've got a Tru Turn System coming too .
      It should be here any day now .
      Then , I'll just have to get it put on before Run thru the Hills .

      I think it will cure my bump-steer and camber gain issues ..

      Question for Ride Tech. If I am running a factory spindle on a '69 Nova, with a tall upper ball joint wouldn't this kit still work without the spindles (part# 11169525)? The 2in drop moves the pin on the spindle up which would technically bring the bottom of the rim closer to the tie rod, so on a non-dropped spindle the pin would locate the rim further away from the tie rod (interference would not be an issue). The tall ball joint would give you the correct spindle height for the geometry, and steering arms would bolt to factory spindles - correct? If you purchased Ride Tech spindles without the Tru Turn kit, factory steering arms would bolt on (same bolt hole and spacing) - I'm guessing. The reason I ask this is because I am happy with the ride height I have now. I would hate to start messing with spring spacers to bring it back to where it was after dropping it 2in with a new spindle. Also, wouldn't mind saving the $350 for the new 275's I'd need to get.

      Im no sales person for ridetech, but if you ditch ur front end(sell it) and start over with Ridetechs upper and lower arms, and go coilovers, and tru turn set up, you will be shocked how different the front end will be.

      I have DSE upper and lower arms(have to mod the lower) ATS upper coil over mount, ridetech single adjustable coilovers and tru turn set up and WOW, so much better then before.
