did you have to do anything to make the wheel not hit the sub frame or is that full turn?

Maybe I missed it...but if we did not want to have to make any fender or inner fender mods, what is the largest 17" wheel and tire including back spacing we can run? This would be for a 67 camaro.

Nope, the stop on the steering arm contacts the lower arm. But if you had to, you could always add material there, or thread a bolt into the lower arm to further limit turning radius.

On a 10" wheel we had to modify the outside portion of the inner fender. See pics on page 3 of this thread.

ok thanks will you guys be working on a diagram or something of that sort so that way if you dont have all the tools to do the metal work we could purchase a inner fender and maybe just get it rolled? i know there are some after market fender wells that are wider

I started asking for a diagram, templates, pictures a month ago. It would be nice if someone made a sheet metal panel, shaped for the required clearance that you could just weld or rivet in place, after the cut was made in the factory inner fender.

Last week I ordered the complete ridetech Coilover suspension package w/ TruTurn for my '69. I'll start on the project end of September and will have to figure something out!

I know there has been some questions on LS oil pan clearance and also tire fitment.

This pictures shows a very tight fit with the sway bar. Will a 275 tire also require using the ridetech front swaybar?

I would say that a standard 1 piece bent sway bar would limit your turning radius.

I have not verified this yet, but "I THINK" that if a 9" wheel on a 5.75" BS would give you 1" less front spacing and be enough clear Lip/well. Again... I do not know this for a fact yet.

I was hoping to re-use SOME of my existing components to save a few $$$$ (the wife will beat me if I spend much more). I may have to accelerate the installation schedule to see how bad the turning radius is reduced.

Then the next million dollar question, will your sway bar work with stock, or other arms? Are the locations of the connection points the same as stock, or is something reconfigured.

Let's see how many letters I can type w/o directly answering your question....

The initial design on our lower StrongArm was done several years back, way before the 3 piece MuscleBar ever existed. They were designed to work with stock sway bar. We had also fit it w/ Hotchis, Addco, and (I think) Hellwig sway bars. All of the design of the 3 piece MuscleBar was done on our lower StrongArms. We have not yet tried to fit it on stock arms or anyone elses. But... If A=B & B=C, then A should be really damn close to C. After installation, just be sure to check the PosiLink alignment throughout suspension travel. They can handle quite a bit of misalignment, so just ensure that it does not bind.

So in a 17x9.5 wheel, would I need 5.25 BS or 6.25 BS...I'm a rookie when it comes to wheel/tire combos... Thanks!
