      STS Turbo System

I want to install a universal turbo kit from STS on my 64 Impala. Has anyone done this or installed STS's universal kit. If so I would like to see pics and have some sort of idea what im getting into. Thanks

I would not install one on a lawnmower. Had one on a 2010 Camaro SS and COULD NOT wait to sell it. Gave it away at the auction on a red light because I would not retail the piece of dung. Surgenest piece of crap I have ever seen. There are a dozen better ways to make horsepower.

Have I mentioned I am not a fan of this system?

I had one mocked up on my trans am. It hangs way too low in the back. People are tucking them up under the car but you can still see it. Lots of people are making good numbers and horsepower also, but after having mine just mocked up for a few days and looking at it, I pulled it off and sold it to get a good front mount setup. I wasn't happy with the fitment.

there are positives and negatives about any system. I had one of their twin universal kits and was happy with it. But, for future builds, I'd rather have an engine-compartment mounted system rather than all the extra plumbing. It all comes down to what you are going to use the vehicle for, how much extra work you want to do to keep it out of the engine bay, and how much tuning you want to tackle. The remote mount systems also allows a cooler charge in many cases, which is better as you don't have to run an intercooler if you don't want.
