GM A-body - what did I buy? QA1's, Upper arms

Found a pretty complete front end setup on Craigslist for pretty cheap so I bought it.

I plan on swapping the coil-overs into my El Camino (single adjustable) with some new springs. I'm having trouble figuring out exactly what they are. QA1 HALs obviously, 6 positions on the adjuster. They are in great shape. The car this was all on was more drag style even though it was a street car, but the following arms and tall spindles lead me to believe the front was meant to handle too. Will call them tomorrow with the numbers and see what they are but thought I'd try to get a head start.

It also included stock lower arms (with coil over mounts welded on), loaded tall spindles...I think Camaro....but maybe B-body? Not too concerned about them. But also, these upper arms. The guy told me they were custom built. The cross shafts are very nice (I assume those were purchased) and the fabrication and welds on the rest of the arms looks great. Mocking them up on the car, it's hard to see but it appears to me that they put the ball joint slightly farther forward than the Global West arms I have now...at least by eyeballing it.

So, two part question - 1) is the possible forward location in part because of the tall spindles or do they look ok to you? and 2) do these arms look strong enough to you? Like I said, the fabrication is very nice but compared to my Global West arms, they seem a bit flimsy.

      Thanks for checking this out!

The QA1 guys said they were nothing special or weird and good for what I wanted to do with them. I ordered 550lb springs and the thrust bearing kit for easier adjustability.

Looking really hard at aftermarket 2" drop tall spindles and Kore3 brakes!
