Pros & Conns of Coil Overs vs Air Bags on an A-Body

I'm building a 1972 Cutlass with a C5 front suspension. This will be a street car that I plan to drive the crap out of and take to track day on occasion. My plan has been to use coil over’s up front and 4 link out back. I have a friend who does high end Air Bag systems and he says conventional Air bags up front (not shock waves) and a 2 link out back will be a better combo. I build & race dirt track cars so the fab work is not a problem I'm looking for the pros & cons of the two systems. Attached is a picture of the front clip so far.
