      Carbon Fiber doors

With all the Carbon Fiber discussion going on, I wonder if anyone has tried making Carbon Fiber doors for anything? Would shave a decent bit of weight off, although I'm sure it'd be pricey.

If you think about it the door is actually pretty light. Its all the safety structrual material, latch , regulator and window that adds all the weight.

Albert has made some for his Warpath Firebird. You can see them in the project thread. He is hoping to have them for production down the road.

if this is for a street car, you'll need some sort of reinforcement for side impact collisions. race cars that have full CF doors have a full cage with NASCAR style door bars.

Albert's are going to have crash bars I believe.
