long bed or not?

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I do appreciate it. I'm thinking I may be trying to cover too many bases with my plan. We'll see. I prefer the looks of a short bed with the four full size doors and I've found a number that look great. I just know I'd like to be able to keep this truck for a long time and have it meet my needs. I also need to stay mobile for a while with my job. If I have to pull a trailer, I'll either need those bikes on the trailer or I'll need the tail gate to be closed some how. Thanks again.
