      Speed Tech Pro Touring Package

Is anyone here running the Speed Tech Pro Touring Package on a first gen Camaro? Tubular Upper and Lower Control Arms, QA1 Coilovers, and heavy duty tie rod sleeves.

      http://www.speedtechperformance.com/...rod/prd131.htm

I'm debating between this package or running the Speed Tech UCA/LCA combo with Hotchkis 2" lowering springs and their matched Bilstein shocks. (I already have a brand new set of Hotckis tie rod sleeves, so don't really need another set)

This will be a street car 99% of the time ('67 small block Camaro). I want it to handle very well, but it may or may not ever see a track. I understand that the QA1's are easy to adjust, so that would be great for initial tuning, but I'm not sure how often I would change them after that. Budget wise I'd like to be all in for around $1500.

Also (long shot here) how do the ride heights compare with the 2" Hotchkis lowering springs vs. the QA1's? Thanks.

We sell a lot of Speedtech arms and Pro Touring packages. I particularly like their arms because the upper arm allows a simple redrill to change the relationship between the control arm shaft pivot point and the ball joint. This improves the camber gain significantly. We combine the Speedtech arms with Hothckis springs quite often. $1500 will just cover it.

Below are a couple pics of the redrill on one of my personal cars.

buy the Speedtech kit with the ridetech coilovers. I purchased the whole kit for my second gen. It will be a while before I use it but the kit is really high quality, call Frank or call Blake at Speedtech.

Thanks, nice looking setup. The reason I was looking at the QA1's was that it is a part of a bigger package, so the pricing is better than individual components.

The ridetech's look nice, but at over $1100 for the double adjustable setup or around $700 for the single adjustable, on a car that may or may not ever be on the track is probably a little steep. I can do the Hotckis/Bilsteins for around $300, and the QA1's work out to around $400 as part of a bigger package.

We are also able to package the kit with ridetech Coil over conversion shocks/springs in single adjustable. just waiting on confirmation of pricing and availablilty from ridetech, the ridetechs will NOT be 1000.00 over the current pricing, possibly 300.00 ish extra

Very nice car. Are you running regular QA1's on the rear with multileaf springs or a coilover kit?

The QA1 coilover kit in the front with SBC springs (as shown in Speedtechs's pro-touring kit) In the rear I've just removed my leafs and installed an Alston G-link 4-link setup and mini-tubs. I'd recommend the Lee steering box as well if you have the budget.

Thanks, that's the kit I was looking at. I just got the Delphi 670 box from Frank, along with new inner/outer tie rod ends, pitman arm, idler arm, rag joint, ps pump and pulleys, and a Hotchkis front sway bar. Nothing is in yet, but I can't wait to get rid of the 24:1 manual steering box that's in there right now! Originally I was going to do it in stages, but I'm leaning towards tearing it all apart and replacing everything with new, and only doing it once. This would mean new brakes as well.

Sounds good, do mods as your budget allows. The only thing I don't like about my setup is the overboosted steering. I'm apparently running an Iroc box, but I think it's a rebuilt stocker. I'd like to run the Lee but am thinking of upgrading the entire subframe in the future so i will leave it as is.
