      Water pump question

I'm looking at the water pump on my LS3 and It looks like the side with the thermostat is the pump input. It is the lower of the two ports. It is also the larger of the two ports. It is 1.5 inches and the upper port is 1.25 inches. Is this correct? Is it the opposite of the old SBCs?

Is the heater core supply the 1.75 inch port and the return the 1.5 inch port?

Yep, they put the thermostat on the inlet.

Cool, I just need to have my radiator modified for the smaller tubes and the vent tube. The input is still on the lower right and the return is on the upper left.

I just made and adapter for the upper hose adapter with a 1/4" barbed fitting for the steam line.
You can see it just off the water pump. Upper hose is stock.
