Are you using the direct link or the [img] tagged link?

Same way I done them in this thread...... https://www.pro-touring.com/showthre...ension-upgrade

I have tried the direct link, I have tried the [IMG] link and still the same results.... I even tried with the same pic's that were in the thread above thinking it might be the images but it keeps saying "Invalid File"...

I am wanting to do a build thread....and something is obviously wrong here...I have been fooling with this for hours now with no results...I even tried to use some of the pictures from my suspension build thread and the same thing is happening...

Can someone please look into this and let me know something?

I can't see photos hosted on those sites from work, but I have had a similar experience -- pics I posted on Photobucket (direct link) came back with that same "invalid file" thing when some folks tried looking at them. They worked fine for me from a couple of different machines.

My guess, now that I've seen that someone else is getting the same thing, is that Photobucket is having some sort of problem. The best bet might be to use a different sharing site.

How do you explain Photo-bucket working on my other forums just fine? Plus I have looked at some very recent photo's that other people posted and they were from photo-bucket.

Since I have recently used PB to post up photo's in my suspension thread, Something has changed somewhere! Either here or PB..... I will contact PB and ask if you can please check into it here and see if anything has changed in terms of settings or something.

And Thank You for your help!

I'm sorry, I must have come across as being an expert on photobucket of some sort; I am not. All I was doing is pointing out that the same thing had happened to me on a different forum and suggesting that the common thread could be Photobucket. In my case, I posted the same pics from a different site and they worked just fine, so until I saw your post I figured I just wouldn't use PB anymore.

Please excuse me if I came off wrong, Posting stuff on the net sometimes comes across in the wrong way... I am honestly grateful of your help and ideas in helping me remedy this issue.. I have wrote PB in hopes they can answer my questions but as of now they still have not returned my e-mail..

What photo place do you use? I will give another place a try but I just HATE to have to move all these images to a new place just to due my build thread...

      Here is Photobuckets responce:

Please note that we have found differences between message boards/forums and what code is required. So you may need to check your message board/forums to see what code they need. For instance, one message board wants the IMG in uppercase and another wants the IMG to be lower case. Just get back to us if you have any trouble. Please send us a link to the web site you are posting to as that helps us. In addition, please be sure to clear your cache and refresh your browser.

      Best regards,

      Your Photobucket Support Team

      Picture test below...

Okay, This is wierd and it had something to do HERE, The window that popped up for me to insert the Image link was TOTALY different than the window before so something changed on this site...Whatever it was it is working now and that's Great!!

It might, but the forum I had the problem on was not running the same software as PT.com (we're on vBulletin and they're on Community Server).

For other free photo hosting there's a lot of options - Imageshack.us, tinypic, flickr, etc.. Believe it was Imageshack I had success with.

Okay, I think I have found the problem here on this site! This site has TWO pop up windows to up load images through.... Let me explain.

When trying to start a "New Thread" and I click on the (Insert Images) icon above this window pops up not letting me up load anything when clicking on the From URL box!!

Here is where things get weird! If I go to a thread that has already been created and I just want to add a post with an image (as for example In this thread), this small "Windows" looking pop up comes up allowing me to post images correctly just like I have always done before. Why this is like this I have No idea, For a minute there I thought it was me being Nuts or P/B... It is Definitely something on this site, can someone look into this possibly?

Worked for me. All I did was paste the img link. Don't use the insert picture option and it should work.

Thanks for chiming in and helping Larry! The Main problem is when you try to post a "New Thread", that is when that pop up happens but I will try to open a New thread in the TEST area and try what you suggested and reply back..

It worked Larry, Thanks for your help... Now I can post my Build thread!

When trying to (post a new thread) that "Insert Image" icon pop up box Does Not work so I would look into that for the future. Make it like the box that pops up in (reply) threads... Weird that it's set up like that....

What if you just paste the photbucket text and don't use the add image icon. That is meant for when you have a file on your computer.

I will set up a photobucket account and try it.
