      70 Cuda from West TX

Hi guys. My name is Eric from West Texas. The car had been sitting in my wife's granddad's vacant lot till I got it. I've had the car for nine years now and have not had any time to really work on it. I found a local hot rod shop that has done a couple of mopars to do the build up for me.

I came up with 335cuda as a user name because that is the size tire that
I fit under the rear. The car has Viper brakes on the front. We're putting a 6.1 hemi with a full shaker setup under the hood.

Anyway here is how she sat when she let my house.

      P.S.
I'm still trying to figure out how to post images

Here is a rendering I had done

Nice car! Stock suspension? What tire size, over all, front and back?

      Thanks.

      Suspension is:
Rear - 3" relocated leafs with a 2" drop leaf + 1" drop in the hanger = max 3" drop
Front - currently stock w Viper brakes, but have MagnumForce 2" drop spindle (have to get them machined to work with the Viper brake kit)

      Tires:
      Rear - 335/35 18
      Front - 245/40 18

Looks like it's going to be a great car!

Will you run the 6.1 with efi?
what trans are you planning to use?

Sence you need to rebuild the front end anyway, I would throw the Hotchkis front end kit under it so she will handle as good as she will look. .02

I would ditch any plan you have for the front end currently and copy, exactly, what Hotchkis did on their yellow Challenger T/A, E-Maxx!

Reilly Motorsports makes the Street Lynx rear suspension that really performs for a just a "kit" rear suspension. I have a similar rear, tri-angulated four bar w/coil-overs, on the Cuda and it really handles.

It sounds like you're really wanting to make it low with the drop leafs and hanger mod as well as the drop spindles. If you are wanting it slammed then I would suggest Ride Tech's air spring suspension, if you want it to handle like it's on rails I would suggest what I mentioned above. Using drop spindles and such doesn't contribute very well in the performance are.

All these are suggestions and you don't have to feel like you're putting junk on your car if you use what you are planning. All the parts serve different purposes but what you plan on using is more aesthetic. If all you're after is the lowered look then I think you're fine.

Really diggin the "P-L-Y-M-O-U-T-H" lettering on the tail panel. Sexy as hell but what are the plans for the license plate? I've been looking at it and trying to come up with something in my head like a motor that slides it out and retracts it from behind the valance panel.

Again, I don't want to come off as not thinking you have a clue on the suspension parts but there is a way to get a great stance and performance. My 2 cents is all.

      Thanks guys for the comments.

The actual stance I am after is that of the E-Maxx Challenger.

I already have the Hotchkis front suspension and RCD shocks installed along with Mopar .96 torsion bars. Hotchkis didn't have their leaf springs when I bought their suspension system. I still need to get their sway bars though.

I have a 6.1 hemi w/auto from Cleveland Pick A Part along with a XV intake and throttle body. I also bought a complete shaker assembly from Ben Schnober, and AMD shaker hood. I want to try to do a paddle shift auto since I already have the transmission. Future plans are to stroke the motor to 426ci and upgrade the auto transmission with stronger componets.

For the license plate the plan is to notch the rear bumper like on the Challengers and mount the plate below. The gas fill will be moved to the quarter panel with a flush mount 1.25 pop out cap.

Again, thanks for all the comments and suggestions.

Okay, I thought you were just doing the drop spindles on the front. E-Maxx is the sh++.
