      Pink Cowboy Hat 2011

Sorry I couldn't hang around for the official pink hat ceremony, but I'm here to set things right. You guys are brutal; the b@ll busting was relentless.

I lost it on the road course, in the same spot everybody else was that day, on the painted stripe. It was a honor passing it on to the gent in the mean Ford GT.

Anybody else going to cowboy up?

I spun on the road course and will probably get the video uploaded at some point. It certainly doesn't look quite as exciting in the video as it was to experience it.

Alas, the cowboy hat was busy serving autocross duties at the time so I dodged the bullet.

I too somehow dodged the bullet...I lost it in the same spot late Saturday...nobody brought it to me so I didnt look for it.

It was fun meeting you Steven, and thanks for the advise on the air pressure. It worked good. I look forward to seeing you in the future.

I could have earned it, took out one of the big cones in the first chicane on my 3rd lap. During the same laps whoever was driving Albert's Camaro spun out, so I didn't get the hat. I will say it was funny to hit it and then look in the rearview and then see it fall to the ground a couple seconds later!!

Some people were so glad to get rid of it, they stood next to the off ramp lane of the road course to hand it to next recipient!!

The Pink Hat is an equal opportunity kinda hat. It doesn't matter if you're superstars like Doug Renner and Kyle Tucker. Kyle did a complete 360 spin on the road course, twice. He officially determined a 360 spin adds 7 seconds to his lap times. I should've earned the hat myself on the road course thanks to choosing an extremely awful time to check my gauges. Chris from JCG Restoration seems more than happy to remind me about it. LOL

      Put the hat on boys...

Dude, I gotta hand it to you, your spin was by far the best one---made me nervous anyways---until I spun twice on the road course---then twice on auto cross---LOL. Luckily I only had the hat twice since there were many other spiners as you know----what a freaking blast though.
