      Paddle shifter, 4l80e, pushbutton shifter/touchscreen?

This is way out of box thinking for me... but I am running a built 4l80e behind a ls with a KB supercharger. I have a harness built by John at Speartech leaving out the trans part of the harness. I want to run a paddle shifter (Twist machines Shrifter) so it has to have its own computer ,but want a push button shifter that I can integrate into my touchscreen for Park, Reverse/ and Neutral. Any suggestions? Does anyone see problems with this idea?

This can be done, however if you are wanting to use your own touch screen you will need to be able to write the code to communicate with the shift actuator system. There are a couple options, Mastershift and Retrotek. Both work well, but the Mastershift may be the easiest to work with since they have worked with us to develop a system that can accept a momentary button to select each gear manually. You will just have to build the harness to work with your screen and write the program to select each gear. You will still be able to use the Twist paddles to paddle shift up and down while in Drive or Overdrive range. I would recomment using a Compushift controller. Let me know if you need anything else. We are a dealer of all of these parts and would be more than happy to work with you on this.

      I hope this helps.
