GM ECM and harness, Speartech or street and performance

Help what set up to go with. I think the GM set up is limited to what it can control. what experience do you have and what works?

A little more details are needed for anyone to give you meaningful input . . . such as what motor? stock or modified? what car is it going in? what are your goals - street, mild or wild, etc.? where do you want to mount the ECM?

If budget is not a huge concern you can get everything custom built for your set up by Speartech and know it will work when you turn the key over. The GMPP kits are great for the price but will not do a 24X reluctor motor and you may be limited on where you can install the ECM. The GMPP kits use E67 ECM and can be tuned.

I would use speartech on everything. John is one heck of a guy. He will build you whatever you need.

I have a Speartech harness with an LS1 computer with 24x Reluctor wheel. The Engine is an LS3 with Harrop TVS 2300 supercharger... Now the only problem with going this route was that I had to get a custom tuner from former Wheel to Wheel, because the tuning software HP tuners has lots of options. Eventually, I plan to learn the software, but it take some time.

Well, if I changed ECM's then I go with a 58X reluctor wheel, Comp Cams VVT camshaft for the supercharger. Actually, Pantera EFI was testing it when I dynoed mine. You see an increase of 100 hp with the supercharger.
