      Exactly. I'm not too keen on the steel plate designs (some are aluminum). I'm just not sure they are up to the job of hauling a big-ass car out of the gravel. Mine is a 3/4 -16 forged steel lift hook rated to 6000 lbs, attached to the frame with a TIG-welded threaded end on a 4130 tube that is bolted to the frame with 4 3/8 bolts. That's a tow hook.



      I need to put one on the back too, but haven't found a strong enough mount. Some of the Z06 guys use the exhaust hanger bolts, and I'm just not convinced that's strong enough.
