Using Fiberglass next to exhuast pipes

Ok I am planning one doing a rear diffuser for my wagon. The idea I have is to use fences on each side of the exhaust pipes. My question is wether that is ok. Can fiberglass take the heat? I don't want the darn thing catching fire. I could adhere some aluminum to the side next to the pipes if I had to and that might reflect some heat. I would love to hear what everone has to say.

As long as the exhaust tip/tail pipe is protruding an inch past diffuser and has about an inch of clearence,it should hold up just fine,

fiberglass can take alot of heat it's the resin that burns. You can get a high temp epoxy resin your good to go or get regular polyester with a additive to raise it's heat range.

What they said ^. Wasn't there a car in the 24 heurs de LeMans a couple years ago that caught fire because the resin was not cured on a recent repair job.

I have a turbo motorcycle that has headers within about 1 inch to the fiberglass body work and never had a problem.
