      inectors and fuel pump

I don't know much about fuel injection so I need some help on what I need to feed my LS2. I'm hoping to get around 500 hp at the flywheel out of it and I'm planning the delivery system. Will the stock 06 vette injectors do the trick? What do I need for a flow rate for the fuel pump? The spectra tank has 85-115 PSI / 50-60 GPH as a rating. Past problems with that tank aside, will that cut it? I wouldn't mind some schooling on this if anybody has some as well so I can make future decisions on my own.
      thanks guys

Since you are talking about 500 at the flywheel, that should be anywhere from 400 at the tires for an auto trans car and 425 at the tires for a manual trans.

For that power, the stock injectors will be fine for sure.

You will want to regulate the fuel pressure in the 60 PSI range (58-62). If the pump is a typical Walbro 255 LPH unit, which most aftermarket tanks use, and as long as you can get the pressue in the area, you will most likely be good. I would call the tank manufacturer to be sure on the fuel pump specs to be safe.

      Hope this helps.

Thanks Mike, I planned on using the vette regulator.

I've never understood how Spectra could post those specifications and expect anyone to make any sense of them.

I'm a blind man when it comes to this stuff. I'd like to know a little about how to do the math on this stuff.

If your pumps will maintain those kind of #'s, you are in the clear! I think the ls6 has 32 or 34 lb injectors, and the vette regulator w/return will work perfectly with gas. If you are looking to go to e85 you will need to bump up to about a 44lb injector. Your stock injectors will work out perfect for your goals. heads cam exhaust and your good to go at close to 500 at the wheels.

Thanks for the help guys. I called Spectra, they said their pump should support upwards of 400hp but that 600 was too much. The 50 to 60 gph works out to 189 to 227 lph. They also said they might be making a walbro-type 255 lph pump as an option in the future. Everything else seems to be in the clear so will 189 to 227 lph cut it at 500hp?
