LS1 Rear Brakes

Something I didn't think about until now. My LS1 rear brakes came with brake hoses. I'm using them for mock up for now (i want to run braided later). I want to run the hard line on the diff housing before I put it under the car. Do I need a metric adapter to hook up these hoses to my std hard lines?

I had trouble finding an adaptor when I did mine. I ended up making a new hardline with a standard double flare for the chasis flex line and a metric bubble flare at the calipers.

Since you are gonna put different flex lines at the calipers maybe you can find one that is not bubble flare but will still work with the banjo fitting on the caliper.

Like Mike said, the best solutions would be to either flare the hardline to match the hose (M10x1.0 ISO bubble flare) or get a hose to match the standard 3/8-24 SAE inverted flare for a 3/16" hard line. I would avoid an adapter in that situation as it only adds potential leak points. If you aren't comfortable re-flaring the hard lines, any decent hydraulic shop should be able to knock them out for a couple of bucks each and about as many minutes.

You could also buy those hoses from Tobin which is what I did and will again for my next build.

+1 If your hardlines are good and the proper size, just but the braided lines with the proper fitting.
