      New but not really

      Hello All

I guess its finally time I introduce myself. I guess I had registered for this forum a long time ago, and I never got around to posting. weird...

I had forgotten about it, until I got an email, so I came on here.

Anyways, my name is Javier. I have just one Pro-touring project, a 1968 Firebird.

Right now its all torn apart in my parents garage because I dont have anywhere to put it where I live.

So far I have the BOP 8.2 with 3.55 and an Eaton posi, a 69 400 with 670 heads, Edelbrock torker II and H-beams, but its all torn apart, the head gasket leaked so it needs a rebuild. I refinished some 15x7 Rally II's to the original grey/silver look.

What I want to do is restomod it to make it look original but function like a newer car.

So what that means to me, is an all original look, down to the Rally II's on the outside, inside the original Deluxe interior with A/C

but underneath an EFI Poncho 400 (around 400 hp), a T-56 6speed, disc brakes, updated suspension

Im not looking to build a beast but a nice quick daily driver

Here is an OLD OLD OLD picture of the Bird

      Thanks, will do.

I had been making a lot of progress on the car back in college, but then i messed up my knee and all the surgery costs and not being able to walk for a couple months stalled all my efforts, and now years later that I am married and in the "real world" haha stuff has been moving slowly
