Wheels for Grand national, opinions on size?

Alright guys, I would like to hear yall's opinion on wheel size for the Grand national. Tax return is in the near future and I'm needing a set of wheels for the GN. I've pretty much decided on Rushforth rated X's with the brushed center, and polished hoops. I'm planning on asking Rushforth to see if it would be possible to get a red and yellow stipes on the outer lip (similar to the camaro on there site but I'd like yellow as well to match the GN emblems). Either way, I can't decide between 18's all around, 18's front, 19's rear or 19's all around. What do you guys think? If you have pics please post em.

I like the idea of brushed centers on a black car, but I would pass on the red/yelow rim stripes (just my opinion). As far as the wheel size I would probably go with 18/18 or 18/19. If you go with 19's in the front you either can't get the stance low enough OR you run out of tire siewall.

      Paul,

Boyd has introduced the PT-01 with many options like brushed, polished, powdercoated centers, polished rim, etc... I honestly believe they will go out of their way to do just about any option you want.

Shown is pictures for your reference and if you have any questions, please let me know...

Till the end of this month January 2011 we are offering big savings on Genuine Boyds.

      GNon18's,

I think you are right, these g-body's are a little harder to pick wheels for. I like the big wheels but one wrong choice in either size or wheels and the car instantly looks ghetto. You are right about the sidewall height. I guess I'm set on 18x8 (5in. backspace)up front, and will probably do 19X10 (4.75" backspace) on the rear. Does that sound about right? BTW this is the link to the camaro with the red stripe I was talking about.

      Perry,

Thanks for the suggestions but I think I like the rated x's a little more for the Grand National, don't get me wrong, the pt-01's looks great but I don't think they'll fit the GN as well. I like the stance of the gn in the first pic you sent. Would you mind telling me what size and back spacing those wheels are?

Well, I ordered the rated-x's yesterday from Rushforth. Jason's customer service is top notch, really a great guy. I ended up doing 18x8 up front with the 5" backspace due to the ATS spindle and brakes with 18X9's in the rear with a 4.75" backspace. I measured the rear and it seemed really tight so i bitched out and only went 9" wide since I'm planning to lower it and it seems that people run 275's even with 10" wheels. I also want to thank Xssesiv (Eric) for helping out. Looks like it'll be 4-6 weeks so I'll post pics when it gets put together.

sounds like a good choice. 18" is a good size, anything larger and you get into that whole 'donk' look; those guys love G bodies for some reason.
