      S10 rear disc conversion

      Hello,
after the advises I got in this thread: https://www.pro-touring.com/showthre...s-with-e-brake
I decided to finally go with the s10 disc swap for the rear.
I studied the link from nastyZ28 forum about this swap on a second gen

the car is a 67 camaro with non-staggered shocks and a 12 bolt rear
both shocks are on the front of the differential, so I think I will need 2WD backing plate for both sides.
Is this list of parts correct:
      complete backing plates:
      GM 15773309 for the right
      GM 15773308 for the left
      loaded calipers:
      A1-Cardone 18B4712
      A1-Cardone 18B4712

the rest of parts are the same as the second gen conversion I think.
Does the axle flange need to be machined to put the disc on, or is the diameter of the disc large enough?
I have one question left about the e-brake cable: what did you do for these cables: is it possible to buy the original S10 cables and adapt them to the camaro? Would you have pictures of this parts of the conversion?

The 2WD plates will work for you. The rotor is large enough to go over the stock axle flange (was messing with my S10 rear discs last night). I did have to space the backing plates out about 3/16" to center the rotor in the caliper bracket. But check it first, one side needed slightly more shim to get it centered.

Is there an aftermarket (or oem) caliper that will fit the S10 abutments that is narrower in width to allow for more clearance? -Bob

I haven't got to the cables yet. Someone on Nastyz28 made a bracket that allowed him to use the stock cables, it looked pretty simple to make.
