      Good to see there wasn't anyone hurt of further property damage. Once the initial shock has worn off I'm sure your aunt will be making wisecracks about having a "hot rod".

      This is common on this vintage Hyundai as the cat would get hot and melt the fuel line which was routed too close and result in fire.

      they never really "blow", but the gas caps will get blown off and throw a 20 foot column of fire if enough pressure builds up in the tank..
