      Finally Got a Daily Driver - G35 6 speed

After some issues with a Subaru Legacy GT, I wandered into the Infiniti dealer and found they had some hail damaged cars - having a friend with repair connections I figured it might be worth a shot. I bought a '05 6 speed sedan with everything but nav, including the aero kit for $9k off sticker - first impressions are good do far - plenty of power (298HP), tight handling and strong brakes - but have not yet pushed it too hard. Bill, if you are reading this, I might just keep this one, but we'll see.

Good to see you found a replacement. Hope this one sticks it out for the long haul.

I really like the looks of the G35. If you don't mind me asking, what was the sticker price on the one you bought,Sam?

      Right, sure, of course......

Sounds like a deal though. How much damage from the hail? At least it will be big enough for the two baby seats and just in time too right. I guess mama will be pushing that ole chevelle in the yard so she can park inside now-lol.

Sticker was $35,400 - looks like the damage will cost $2k to repair according to estimates today. Invoice was 32.8 and I will be in it for 28.5 fixed, so it was a decent deal given I could not find a non-hail car for under 33.5.

Bill - bring your goat down this fall - we can take the chevelle, the g35, and your beast to the track and have some fun.

As for kids in the car - my daughter likes the traction control off.

      Sam,

My brother has a coupe and I have driven it often. It is a very forgiving car. One thing to watch out for is scratching the rims because of how wide they are to the tire.
