I asked Santa for a go pro too!

Of course I also asked him for a vaporworx tank and a rear swaybar and a flow limiting valve for my power steering and two overflow tanks and some wheel spacers so he may be shopped out. But here's hoping!

I picked up a mostly complete LQ4 for my Christmas present. Got it for 450. That should keep me motivated to get downstairs in the garage and work.

I'm waiting for a set of Forgelines and Falken tires.

I doubt they'll be here before Friday, so I guess they don't really qualify as a Christmas gift.

I just bought(and received today, thanks Summit) a Detroit Locker TruTrak, 3.90 gears, a shim & bearing kit, and some 12mm wheel studs. Time to toss that peg-leg rear diff in the junk pile!.

What a fun thread, thanks to the OP for bringing up the subject of Christmas. I can't wait for Christmas this year, last year I got a set of gauges for the Camaro. This year has been all about the kids though, we spent the bulk of the budget on them.

      Have a great Christmas everyone!

I bought the boys a used XR50 and XR70 for Xmas. All they put on their Santa list was electronic games. Funny, when they ride the bikes they forget all about the Wii, Nintendo DS, PC, TV, etc.

      Kids still ride bikes?

We lived in our neighborhood for over two years before we realized that the family 3 doors down HAD kids. We never see the kids on our street outside. One of these days I'm going to put a cinder-block and a hunk of plywood outside just to see if there is a kid left who knows what to do with it.

No idea what my wife is getting me for Christmas. She's getting a pricey coat that she'd had her eye on but didn't want to spend the money on and a couple of books that she'd been wanting to read. I'm hoping for a 57" flat screen for our living room or a new road bike.

iknowwhatyoumean. I sometimes feel bad that we don't live on a dead end suburban block like I did, spending all day jumping bikes and not really having to worry about cars.
so I take them to the park or bike path as often as possible. of course, they are just as happy building forts and digging holes in the yard.

I resemble that remark! Seriously though, we do... of course, my kids are only 3 and 6 so we're not comfortable letting out to just go ride yet. And in the summer, biking in Florida can be a miserable experience between the heat the humidity and the tropical downpours.

But ya know, it's more than that too. Our neighborhood streets aren't as safe as when we were kids either. People drive far faster than I remember; 35mph + isn't unusual in our neighborhood. And then when you add the sheer variety of other options kids have for spending their time now, between video games and web surfing, social networking and on-demand TV, and all the classes and organizations that parents put them in, most families I know spend a lot less time biking than when we were kids. Sad but true.
