Gas strap isolation pad question 68 Firebird

Ok looking at a 68 Service manual it looks like the isolation pad goes around the front mount location. Is this correct? I bought a partial resto from my brother who has since passed away.
I was not around when he disassembled the car and have limited experience on first gen f-bodies.
      Thanks, Rick

I recently dropped the tank on my 67 and the isolation strip just ran the length of the top of the tank.

      Tom thanks

Tom, for the straps on the bottom of the tank, at the front mounting point did the isolation pad wrap around the mounting bracket were the strap is screwed together?

just went and looked again, I didn't have any isolation straps on the bottom or around the front/back, the rust marks are there to prove it lol. Perhaps they changed it for '68 or i need to find some missing parts... Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer.

no problem, you don't have a build thread going do you? Its always good to see nice first gen birds coming back to life.
