      The Bone

Introducing the next project for Mark Turner. This will be a little more on the wild side than Kryptonite and will be another fast paced build ready to run early next year.

Car is a 1970 Nova that is in really really good shape. The only repair work is a new trunk floor so love that we do not have to skin the whole car before we can even start. The car was on its way to become a drag car at some point so it was already tubbed enough to fit the 335 rears.

We have all the DSE goodies for this car already and have started cutting in the Quadra Link. The new Moser floater rear will arrive tomorrow to finish up the back end and move us to the front. Next up will be getting the firewall out of the way to allow for proper engine placement then onto the cage.

I will not get into much detail on the drive train but know that it will have lots of cubes courtesy of an RHS tall deck block as well as some new heads from Wegner that should be coming out at PRI.

      Stay tuned

The Speedtech Nova reminded me of a silver one I saw on Power Tour several years ago. These things really look bad ass when done right. I have no doubt I will love this car too. I didn't have the balls to do a Nova because of resale value.

Can't wait to watch the build.

This is going to be a badass car when done.

Is that at Marks place? If so, what a nice place.

Welded up all the QL brackets on the new Moser 9 inch completing the rear suspension. The Subframe connectors are in and Mark started cutting out the tunnel to make room for some serious engine setback. He also fitted up the Camaro dash insert which we will finish up when the new dash pad arrives. Took the 18X12 rears off Kryptonite to check the fit and the offset is almost perfect for the Nova with the 335 rears.

Ordering the Anvil parts today as well as some of the brake components to fab up some rear rotor mounting plates.

      Brian,

Is that enough clearance on the outside of that wheel/tire?

I will move the offset in 1/4" inch on the new wheels and the quarter out about 1/2"

The only real area that needed attention was the trunk floor so out with the old and in with the new.

hey brian a rookie question? why the deeper shock mount from dse if your going coil overs not leafs with inboard shocks.. is it due to the dse rear suspension or? thought that was only for leaf spring cars w/tubs for shock travel
